|
| January 2005
We start with a refresher for our understanding of the Culture of Life. All this is taking place in the shadow of the terrible natural disaster caused by the Tsunami. One cannot help but be moved by the numerous individual lives that have been affected. All of this reflection and the worldwide response to aid in relief stirs us to appreciate not only our individual life but to rededicate ourselves to celebrating our culture in which all human life is valued. We will as we did last year have a full program for reflection through our handouts, speakers and activities culminating in the March for Life in Washington on Monday, January 24th.
We are body, soul and spirit. This month offers men of the parish an occasion to feed and nourish the soul and spirit in the Annual Men’s Retreat. Something to consider! Throughout the month other events will overshadow our attempt to grow closer to the Lord. We need to be mindful of each other through fervent prayer. Let us not forget our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are so many concerns to be aware of—seemingly at one time—yet, each important in one way or another.
