TSUNAMI RELIEF

I wish to express my thanks to the generosity of so many parishioners to this tragedy. Our parish collected over $12,000.00 in the special second collection of January 8/9. This is to be combined with the funds raised in the other parishes of the Archdiocese. I take great comfort in the fact that of every dollar given to Catholic Relief Services most of it is directly applied in the form of aid. As I mentioned that weekend, most of us realize that this tragedy will not be solved in a short period of time, nor will the initial financial response of so many in our world restore this part of the world quickly. Our sustained efforts, prayers and generosity will gradually bring some normalcy. May the Lord bless you for your continued support of the victims of the Tsunami of December 26, 2004.
