Holy Week?

It is so easy to pass up the beauty of this week! Luckily, as a priest, I have the luxury of reflecting on the power of this week because of this liturgy. Beginning with Palm Sunday, we enter Jerusalem not only as spectators but as disciples of Jesus. We should make every accommodation to our schedule to enter more deeply into the liturgy of the Church. The liturgies assist and draw us in a deeper understanding of the Lord’s love. The intensity of these days leads us to the Joy and Power of Easter. Let us not pass up the invitation from the Church to draw closer to the Lord.

Good stewards strive to conform their lives to that of Christ—emptying themselves of all pride and putting themselves at the service of others.
