Next weekend’s altar flowers, in Our Lady’s Chapel, are in loving memory of Ruth Harris from Beverly Carroll.

Thank you very much to all who helped with Deacon Steve’s ordination.

The month seems to fly by so quickly–our parish participated in a number of special events last week including the ordination of our new Deacon, Steve, and his Mass of Thanksgiving. Also, the 8th grade class in our class graduated last Sunday. Next, our

Kindergarteners were recognized on Monday morning, and they reflected the innocence that is uniquely theirs to those assembled. Our school had its last formal day of instruction on Friday. Many families have already begun their vacation. Yet, in the midst of all this activity, the Church asks us to reflect on other aspects of our Faith such as the Mystery of the Trinity, and the Feast of the Body and Blood of Jesus. Above all else, we are urged to be grounded each day in prayer (short and concrete as may be the case) and to remember that we live in the Grace of God. †

Today’s second reading reminds us that we are the adopted sons and daughters—the heirs—of God. We are good stewards of our inheritance when we share our faith and fulfill Our Lord’s command to “go…and make disciples of all the nations.”
