“The
law of Your mouth is to me more precious than thousands of gold and
silver pieces,” says the Psalmist today. Does the amount of my offering
suggest that I could honestly say the same?

Roll out those
lazy, crazy, hazy days of summer—For those who remember Nat King Cole,
the above phase brings back many memories. Yet, summer is that short
period in our calendar to try and spend more time as families. This
summer will witness the gathering of youth in Cologne, Germany. Our Holy
Father, Pope Benedict, will challenge our youth to not only a greater
love of the Lord but encourage them to make Him a real Presence in their
individual lives. This first awareness flows for many of us in the
family. I encourage you to include some family prayer time in this short
period. Our mutual example sows seeds that have a lasting imprint. Apart
from the necessary precautions needed in the sun, I hope that those who
travel will do so safely and that your memories of this summer will be
wonderful.
The
Banns of Marriage are announced for the third time for Morgan Boteler,
