This year we will honor Mary, Mother of God and spouse of St. Joseph. Archbishop Donald W. Wuerl will be the principal celebrant and homilist. The Rosary will begin at 2:30 p.m. outside, weather permitting. Those who wish to join in the procession should meet at the East Portico. Mass will begin at 3:00 p.m. The Mass satisfies the Sunday obligation.

Father Gary Villanueva will be celebrating Mass at 8:00 p.m. in Our Lady’s Chapel on Friday, October 6th. Those participating in this special Mass are reminded that First Saturday is celebrated at the 8:30 a.m. Mass. Adoration will be held one hour prior to Mass.

St. Mary’s Parish Breakfast will be held in the parish hall on Sunday, October 8th after the 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. Mass. Come and enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and great fellowship. Donations will be accepted.

Do We Give of Ourselves?

St. James warns in today’s second reading that those who hoard their wealth and live only for themselves will be condemned. But in the Gospel, Jesus assures us that all who give of themselves for His sake will be rewarded.

 HAVE YOU REGISTERED YET?

The St. Mary’s 8th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 21st at the spectacular Potomac Ridge Golf Course in Waldorf, Maryland. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a glorious day with friends and colleagues. Prizes will be awarded to the top foursome and contests will be held around the course to challenge your skills. The day will conclude with an Awards Ceremony, Prize Raffle and Putting Contest. Please consider our request in helping to make this Annual Golf Tournament a continued success!
