Meet our principal Scott Farren, and read his letter about St. Mary's.
Dear St. Mary's Family,
As I walked onto the St. Mary's of Piscataway campus for the first time last April, I immediately felt the presence of God and his guidance in my life. I was overwhelmed with the feelings of happiness and excitement when I was given the opportunity to serve as your school principal, and it has changed my life in so many positive ways. I am honored and privileged to be a part of your faith community, and I thank all of you who have made me feel so welcome here at St. Mary's.
When I first set foot into the school building, I knew that indeed God had led me to the right place. Those who have entered the school know that there is an immediate feeling of true family spirit. At St. Mary's School, we greet you with a warm smile and welcome you with open arms. Our highly qualified teachers and staff are passionate about their work, which is reflected in the success of our students.
Our amazing students deeply care for one another, treat one another with kindness and respect, and help each other throughout the school day. I like to tell the students that this is their "second home."
I have collaborated with so many faith-filled people who have given the gifts of their time and talents to St. Mary's School. I am blessed to have met and worked with the members of the St. Mary's Parish community to build our "One Place" identity. There have been challenges along the way, but we have worked through those challenges like a true family that is committed to the prosperity and success of all of its members. God presents us with challenges in our lives to make us stronger in our faith and become more patient, wise, and honest as we strive to live our lives according to his will.
I continue to embrace the many traditions that have brought so much joy to our school community, build relationships with our dedicated families, and empower our students, staff members, and volunteers to become successful leaders who will model our master teacher, Jesus Christ. I will maintain our commitment to teaching gospel values, strengthen our standards for academic excellence, increase our opportunities to serve God and his people, and advance our St. Mary's family into the future.
Your servant in Christ,
