Open House Dates

Do you know anyone who may be interested in attending St. Mary's school? Here are the upcoming dates for our open house:

  • Thursday, February 27 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, March 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

If you can't make any of these dates, feel free to call our school and schedule a personal tour. We look forward to seeing you!

Congratulations to Our Robosaints and Roboteers!

We are so proud of our two robotics teams for participating in the 2019 Prince George’s County VEX IQ Tournament. The students had a great time and learned a lot from their teachers and peers. There is another robotics match coming up on Saturday, March 16 at Bishop McNamara High School. We will need some parent volunteers to help run the food concession stand, so we can raise money for our robotics teams. Watch for more information coming soon.

All School Masses

For scheduling reasons, we have decided to change our traditional first Friday all school masses to the last Monday of each month. Our calendar will reflect the change.

Photos From Catholic Schools Week

We had a flurry of activities for Catholic Schools Week, including service projects, doughnuts for dads, and a teacher luncheon. See all the photos on our Facebook page. Big thanks for the committee and volunteers who made this an amazing week. Thanks to the families that made donations too; we couldn't have done it without your help.

Substitute Teachers Needed

Our substitute teacher list has shortened quite a bit over the last few months. Please consider signing up to be a substitute teacher. Teaching experience is preferred, but not required. All substitutes must be VIRTUS® trained, cleared, and pass a background check. If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher, please contact the main office at (301) 292-2522.

Uniform Dress Code Enforcement

Please remember that we began handing out uniform infractions beginning on Tuesday, January 22. Parents, be sure to send your child(ren) to school in uniforms that are neat, clean, and in good repair. Refer to pages 24-27 in the parent/student handbook for dress code guidelines. We will send uniform infractions through PlusPortals. Be sure to check your account regularly.

Updating Emergency Contact Forms

Please remember to send a new emergency contact form to school any time there has been a change in phone numbers or place of work. Please visit our School Forms page to locate the form. In addition to that, you should update all contact information through your TADS account online.
